We were delighted with our trip north with both the Simmentals and Blue Texels to Harrogate for the Great Yorkshire Show. On form for us was our dark red and white yearling bull Williams Eddie. By Clonagh Tiger Gallant, he won his class and then went on to be reserve male champion and junior champion. On the second day of the show he went one step further by taking the interbreed junior championship of the show under judge and H&H auctioneer David Thomlinson. Eddie, along with the rest of the team, now heads to the Royal Welsh.
Also in the team was Williams Wendy’s Dromeda, an April 2012-born Heathbrow Tristar daughter out of a Sterling Rochester daughter who was purchased as a foundation female for the herd. Dromeda stood third in a strong class of two year old heifers.
The Blue Texels saw us secure a first and the male champion in the Any Other Continental section with Williams Wonderboy, a son of our Duns stock sire out of a Bishops ewe.
