This month has been a hectic, but successful month in terms of private sales of stock off the farm. We’d first of all like to wish Steve White of the Tirley herd, Cheshire, the best of luck with his new junior herd sire Williams Cresent, who he also plans to show this year. Cresent is an April 2011-born son of our successful herd sire Heathbrow Tristar and is out of one of our foundation females Astcote Toffee. We look forward to hearing how he does on the show circuit later this year.
We’d also like to wish Simon Key the best with his latest purchases which include two April 2007-born cows, Horsfordmanor Verona (with her Darshams Playboy-sired bull calf at foot) and Horsfordmanor Velvet (with a Darshams Playboy-sired heifer calf at foot). He has also purchased a homebred yearling heifer in the form of the February 2011-born Williams Topaz’s Clara, a polled daughter of past stock sire Heathbrow Mischief out of Horsfordmanor Topaz. And adding to these females is the 2006-born Key Tilly, a female we originally purchased from the Key family as a foundation female. She will be delivered once she’s been PD’d in calf to Heathbrow Tristar.
