Herd Sires

Williams Josef 18

Williams Josef 18 EX92 has been retained as the junior herd sire due to a combination of his outstanding pedigree including being sired by Clonagh Diehard Gallant and being from the Snow Queen family, with Tristar as his maternal grandsire, along with ticking all the boxes for us in type.

He is super long, good in his feet and legs with an excellent temperament, so he really is the full package for us. Our first crop of 2021-born calves are now on the ground from Josef and we are really excited to see what the future will hold for these.

Clonagh Diehard Gallant

Clonagh Diehard Gallant

Purchased privately in 2013, Diehard is a December 2012-born son of noted sire Dovefields Gallant, bred by Garrett and Lyndsey Behan., Portlaoise, Co Laois, Ireland.

The dam, Edel, is a top donor female in the herd and is a Hillcrest Butcher daughter. Some seven daughters from this line have all been retained in the herd, including four full sisters to Diehard.

This is the first ET-bred bull born from this mating and semen has been retained for private use. Along with his pedigree, he was purchased for his colour and stature and his correctness throughout, all attributes which will have complimented Tristar daughters.

Progeny highlights to date include Williams Belle’s Hannah, who was female champion in Stirling and Williams Hogwarts who was junior interbreed at the Royal Welsh Show.

Heathbrow Tristar

Heathbrow Tristar

Sire: Heathbrow Mischief Dam: AWL Starlet 8E (P) (Imp)

Tristar was purchased privately in July 2007 at 17 months of age from David and Lesley Sapsed as a result of being so impressed with him at the Royal Show that year.

He has always been a naturally fleshed bull with great length, confirmation and excellent locomotion. Tristar is an easy calving, consistent male and female producer, his progeny have the same stamp as he does and no matter what dam he breeds with calves are often similar in growth rate and confirmation.

He’s had an exceptional show career, particularly in 2011 when he won six breed championships across the South East and East of England. Sadly we lost Tristar in 2016 but we’re grateful for what a fantastic mark he has left in the herd.

We’re offering semen for sale from him, so please contact us for details.

Clonagh Tiger Gallant

Tiger Gallant has been used with great success in the herd. He has been selected for his ease of calving, as well as his natural muscle and to date he’s clicked well with Tristar daughters. Along with some super females, Tiger is the sire of Williams I of the Tiger who was breed champion and reserve junior and reserve male interbreed at the South of England Show in 2018.
