Yet again it was our Blue Texel flock picking up the silverware for us, this time at Kent County Show, where our homebred ram lamb, Williams Victor won the Any Other Continental ram lamb class under judge John Hall and then went overall champion. Victor is out of a Bishops ewe and by our stock tup bred in the Duns flock who also stood second in the aged ram class. Also in the team shown for us by Chrissie Lawrence we took a second in the shearling ewe class with the Millside-bred ewe and a second with the home bred ewe lamb.
In the cattle team we stood first and reserve breed champion with Williams Cormac, a March 2011-born yearling bull by Heathbrow Tristar out of the Atlow Number One daughter Horsfordmanor Tinkerbelle. We also stood second with Williams Regal Lady 4th, another Tristar daughter, a third with Williams Vesta’s Belby and third with Williams Simone’s Crystal. We also won the family pairs and stood second in the interbreed heifer class with Williams Simone’s Crystal.
