Double interbreed championship wins for Williams team at Aylsham Show

The Williams show team enjoyed a phenomenal last show of the season scooping the interbreed championship in both the cattle and sheep sections at Aylsham Show.

It was Williams Simones Crystal that triumphed in the cattle section winning female champion and overall breed champion under judge Vikki Wood of the Popes herd before going on to impress interbreed judge Norman Smith to take the interbreed championship. This March 2011-born heifer is by Heathbrow Tristar and out of Horsfordmanor Simona, an Atlow Number One daughter.

In the other classes we picked up a red rosette with our yearling heifer Williams Danielle 2nd. She is by Darsham Playboy out of the Dirnanean Reformer daughter Tillymaud Danielle 33rd and carries a TPI of +74 and SRI of +86. Williams Toffees Dolores another Darsham Playboy daughter stood fourth in her class, she is out of Astcote Toffee a Sterling Flint daughter. While Williams Draco stood second, he is also by Darsham Playboy and out of Tillymaud Malvena 58th, a Blackford Lancer daughter. He was male champion at Herts County and overall champion at Kent earlier this year.

We would like to thank Charlie Collinson for all his hard work helping prepare and dress our cattle at the shows this year, they have looked their best on every outing.

Bringing home the silverware for us in the sheep section was our Blue Texel shearling ram Williams Victor. He is by a Duns-sired tup out of a Bishop’s ewe and was any other continental champion at Kent Show last year as a lamb ram. He will be for sale in Worcester in September.

We also picked up first in the ram lamb class and fourth with our shearling ewe and ewe lambs.
