It was the Simmental show team that were leading the way for us at Kent County Show as we took male champion and the overall championship. It was Williams Draco who was on winning form, he is a Darsham Playboy son out of Tillymaud Malvena 58th, a Blackford Lancer daughter. He was male champion at Herts County earlier this year.
Our yearling heifer Williams Danielle 2nd picked up the red ticket. This February 2012-born Darsham Playboy is out of the Dirnanean Reformer daughter Tillymaud Danielle 33rd. She carries a TPI of +73 and SRI of +84.
Williams Simones Crystal stood second in the two year old heifer class, she is by Heathbrow Tristar and out of Horsfordmanor Simona, an Atlow Number One daughter. While Williams Wendy’s Dromeda, a Heathbrow Tristar daughter out of Sterling Petra’s Wendy was fourth.
In the family pairs class Draco and Danielle took the top spot and on Sunday we were pleased to have Draco, Danielle and Dromeda out as part of the reserve interbreed group of four.
Our Blue Texels also had a good show with our aged tup winning his class before standing overall reserve champion. He is our stock tup that was bred in the Duns flock and is the sire of the rest of our show team. Our ewe lamb also stood at the top of her class, the shearling ewe was second while the ram lamb stood fourth.
